1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CasinoWise application, the casinowiseapp.com website and any related content or features that link to these Terms (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Casinowise Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The licence governing the application itself is set out in the End-User Licence Agreement. Where that agreement and these Terms address the same matter, they are to be read consistently.

2. The Service

CasinoWise is an educational field guide and trainer for casino games. It sets out, for 24 games, the house edge, the return to player, the edge on each bet offered and a plain account of how the game plays. It also contains twelve written guides, a glossary, a comparison of house edges and four practice drills that check your decisions against the correct play and explain the reason.

The Service allows you to:

• browse, filter, sort and search the game catalogue;
• read a game's figures, rules, bets and strategy note;
• read guides and glossary terms;
• practise the drills and see your recorded accuracy;
• bookmark games, guides and terms on your device;
• adjust the text size; and
• contact us about a correction, a bug or a question.

The features may change over time.

3. No real-money gambling

The Service does not provide real-money gambling. You cannot use it to:

• place a bet or wager with real money;
• deposit money for play, or withdraw money from it;
• buy gambling credits, chips, coins, tokens or anything similar;
• win cash, prizes, cryptocurrency or anything else of monetary value;
• exchange a result for money or property; or
• participate in any form of real-money gambling.

Nothing in the Service is an offer to gamble, bet, wager or enter a lottery, and the Service takes no commission, rake or stake of any kind.

Card, dice and wheel imagery appears as the subject matter of the guide. It is not a game you can play for anything.

4. Age requirement

The Service discusses casino games and is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and the application asks you to confirm that before showing any content.

If the minimum age for content of this kind in your country is higher than 18, that higher age applies to you. By using the Service you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age, that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms, and that your use is lawful where you are.

5. Licence

Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use the Service for your own lawful, non-commercial use. The Service is licensed, not sold, and no ownership passes to you.

Except where the law expressly permits it, you may not:

• copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the Service;
• modify, adapt or translate it, or create derivative works from it;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or attempt to derive its source code;
• remove any proprietary notice; or
• circumvent any technical or access restriction.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break any applicable law or the rights of another person;
• introduce malware or any malicious code;
• gain unauthorized access to any system, or interfere with our infrastructure;
• scrape or copy the content at a scale that burdens the service;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation; or
• present the reference material as advice given to a specific person by us.

Search engines may index the public parts of this website in the ordinary way.

7. No accounts

The Service has no account system, no login and no user profile. There is nothing to register for and no password for us to hold. Anything you save or record is stored on your own device and is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. No purchases

The application is free. It contains no subscription, no in-app purchase, no in-game currency and no advertising. If we ever introduce paid functionality, it will be disclosed before purchase and governed by additional terms presented at that time.

9. Your device and your data

You are responsible for your device, for keeping it secure, and for any data charges your network operator applies. Bookmarks and drill records live in the application's storage on your device; they are not synchronized to a server, and they are lost if you delete the application or reset the records in Settings.

10. Intellectual property

The Service and its original content — including the software, the interface, the written guides, the game descriptions, the figures and their presentation, the illustrations and the CasinoWise name and marks — are owned by or licensed to Casinowise Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce the catalogue, the guides or the glossary in bulk, or present them as your own.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your rights, write to contact@casinowiseapp.com with enough detail for us to identify the material and your claim, and we will investigate.

11. Accuracy of content

We take care over the figures and the rules, and every one is stated against a basis shown on the same page. House edges nevertheless depend on the exact rules of the table, the number of decks, the paytable and, in some games, on how well the player plays. Different rule sets produce different figures, and published values elsewhere may legitimately differ from ours.

Rules and paytables also change, in casinos and in software. The content is provided for general information and may not match the game in front of you. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.

12. No advice

Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, tax or gambling advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to gamble, to spend money or to play any particular game. It is a description of how games work and what they cost.

No strategy, drill result or recorded accuracy suggests that a person will win, or will lose less than the house edge implies, over any period.

13. External links and the App Store

The Service may link to pages outside our control, including the App Store and, inside the app, a responsible-gambling helpline. Those destinations are operated by others and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

We do not link to casinos, sportsbooks or betting operators, and we accept no payment for any link.

14. Availability and changes

The catalogue, guides and drills are bundled with the application and work without a connection. The two legal pages inside the app open this website and therefore need one. We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; it may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, hosting failures or events outside our control.

We may add, change, restrict or withdraw content and features, and may release updates that are required for continued use. You do not acquire a permanent right to any particular game, guide or feature.

15. App Store terms

If you obtained the application through Apple's App Store, you also agree to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms. These Terms are between you and Casinowise Ltd, not Apple. Casinowise Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for the application and its content, for support, and for addressing any claim relating to it. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the application. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.

Where a mandatory term of the App Store conflicts with these Terms, the mandatory term applies to the extent of the conflict.

16. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of the terms governing your use of the Service.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent the law permits, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all express, implied and statutory warranties, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that every figure will match every rule set, or that it will meet your expectations.

Nothing in these Terms limits a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, Casinowise Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of data stored on your device, loss of use, or reliance on the content.

Our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount the applicable law requires.

Because the Service involves no money, no stake and no redeemable value, no outcome, figure, drill result or saved item in it represents a financial loss.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete the application from your device. We may suspend or end your access where you materially breach these Terms, where the law requires it, or where we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law — continue to apply.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Casinowise Ltd is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the protection of the law of your own country of residence.

Before starting formal proceedings, please write to us: most disagreements about a figure or a feature are settled in one exchange.

21. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be read down to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will continue in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization or transfer of the Service. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship. These Terms, the End-User Licence Agreement and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us on this subject.

These Terms are published in English. If they are translated, the English version controls to the extent the law allows.
